Cooking Classes

cooking classPeople often ask about cooking Blackbird Farm pasture-raised meats, so our resident chef and food writer/photographer David Dadekian teaches cooking classes in the farmhouse kitchen at the Farm. Classes cover preparing several cuts of meat, along with side dishes created from local farmers market ingredients. There’s plenty of wine and great conversation with farm owner Ann Marie. Each class will cover different meats and dishes so please join us for more than one class.

Upcoming Class Schedule:

  • To Be Announced

Classes are from 1 – 4 p.m. (though to be honest, tend to run longer if you want to chat or see more of the farm). $90 per person, which includes tastings and wine, and are limited to 12 attendees.

Group discount: Purchase tickets for six or more people and receive 10% off each reservation. Email David before making your purchase for the discount code.

Please note any food allergies when purchasing tickets. Due to having to set meats aside for use that day, and wanting to assure everyone has a full experience, reservations must be paid in advance and are non-refundable but can be transferred.

If you have any questions, please email David.

The class is held in the farmhouse at 122 Limerock Rd. Smithfield. It’s a large working kitchen with a Wolf range and windows looking out over the pasture.
